Marco Silva has praised Phil Jagielka’s attitude despite struggling for game-time this season

Everton boss Marco Silva has used Michael Keane, Kurt Zouma and Yerry Mina ahead of Jagielka this season.But the Portuguese coach revealed his admiration for the former England defender following a testing campaign.Silva said: “One different season to him, he didn’t play like he played for the last 11 years. “But his behaviour as a captain was really good, he understood a little bit his different role this season, the competition was really tough. The others did a fantastic season.“He understood and always helped his team-mates, his behaviour during the week is really good.“When his team needs him, he was there and he was everything that you would expect from a fantastic professional and a good captain.”
