Neil Warnock says Victor Camarasa’s scans have showed “nothing” on them with the absent midfielder instead listening to the “experts” around him, according to the Cardiff City boss.Camarasa, 24, has played for just seven minutes since January 19 with the Spaniard citing a calf injury that Cardiff insist has cleared for him to play.2

He was again missing from the Bluebirds squad which suffered a second successive home defeat on Tuesday night, with Everton running out 3-0 winners in south Wales.And speaking after the game Warnock expressed his bemusement at a “very unusual” situation, while confirming that Camarasa is set to make his long-awaited return this weekend when Cardiff travel to Wolves.He said: “He wasn’t available tonight. The last 10 days he’s trained really well and his scans showed nothing on them yesterday.“It’s very unusual. I’ve asked their experts if they’d take a look at Sol Bamba’s scan.“I was wondering if they could give me an opinion on why he’s played for the last six weeks, when there’s a scan telling us he should be out for three to four months.2

“Scans don’t mean everything. It’s how you feel as a player.“But when you’ve got experts saying you can’t play for 10 days, and that goes past tonight, then what can you do?“He trusts his people and you’ve got to go along with it even if we don’t agree with it.”Warnock confirmed the Real Betis loanee has told him he wants to feature on Saturday as the Bluebirds look to drag themselves away from relegation trouble with all three points at Molineux. He added: “He’s going to have a few days good training now and get ready for Saturday’s game.“There’s no reason why he’s not fully fit. Hopefully his physios and Spanish people will make him open to selection. He wants to play.“We need a Victor firing like before he got injured. We need that bit of quality that he gives us. ”
