Peterborough striker Ivan Toney has become the latest footballer to suffer racial abuse on social media.The 23-year-old was sent banana and monkey emojis on Instagram during Poshs 3-2 win over Portsmouth on Tuesday evening.1

As always, we are here for support and guidance for both club and player.” Toney has scored 21 goals in all competitions in a prolific season for Peterborough, who trail sixth place Doncaster by one point heading into the final day of the regular season.The former Newcastle forward has become the second footballer to be targeted with racial abuse on social media in less than a week.Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles was branded a stupid monkey on Instagram after he was sent off in the Gunners 3-0 defeat at Leicester on Sunday.
