Van Dijk is understood to be struggling with a foot injury that has troubled him over the past few weeks. He is still expected to start on Tuesday, however, with a Liverpool spokesman saying the defender only missed full training with the team so he could take part in an individual, tailored training session. Oxlade-Chamberlain is also thought to have also undertaken a lighter, tailored session but it has not been confirmed if there is a specific injury concern. The 25-year-old only recently returned to first-team action following a lengthy lay-off with a serious knee injury.
